Anyone would agree that beat-matching is an absolutely essential skill in djing
and I, of course, would never argue against that.
However, a lot of times, dj's tendency to want to perfectly
beat-match every song transition ends up limiting the track selection
and boundaries of places a mix or a set can take the listeners to.
It takes more music savvy and overall understanding of sounds to be able to do
a mix where you do not have to rely on beat-matching to do a transition that works to perfection.
this mix should be a proof of that.
